laser hair removal

ADVANCE FROM RAZOR TO LASER

Unwanted hair on the can feel like a burden, especially when summertime rolls around. Shaving provides short term results and can lead to irritated the skin and ingrown hairs. Achieve smooth and soft skin from head to toe with laser hair removal.

At Premier MediSpa, we use the most advanced lasers from InMode to help eliminate unwanted facial or body hair at the hair follicle.

Diolazexl allow for rapid hair removal without the need for topical anesthesia for the majority of our patients. Additionally, there is little-to-no recovery time and immediate results.

Laser hair removal works by directing concentrated beams of light toward targeted hair follicles. That light is absorbed by the melanin, or pigment, that gives your hair its unique color.

The laser energy is converted into heat that alters the structure of the hair follicle. This alteration impedes or prevents the follicle from generating new hair growth.

Laser hair removal reduces unwanted hair on your: Face, Neck, Back, Abdomen, Arms, Legs, Above the lip, Underarms and Bikini line

Everyone responds a little differently to laser hair removal. We recommend a series of treatments to achieve optimal results. Your sessions will range in length depending on the area of your body being treated.

what to expect

Prepare for your treatment

If you’re getting laser hair removal, be sure to inform your practitioner if you pluck, shave, or wax the area being treated. Also let us know if you’ve had a hair removal treatment in the past. This will better inform us on how to create your laser hair removal treatment strategy. In addition, let us know if you’ve ever had a negative reaction to light or laser. Based on your medical history, your practitioner might prescribe medications for before and after treatment to encourage optimal healing.

Before your treatment

Before you come in for your laser treatment appointment, we suggest that you remove all makeup and gently cleanse the area youre getting treated.  If youre extra sensitive to light or prefer numbing cream, we ask that you let us know beforehand and be prepared to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your appointment. Were looking forward to seeing you!

During your treatment

After your skincare specialist has analyzed your skin, you’ll be equipped with super stylish goggles to protect your eyes from the brightness of the light. While reclining, your practitioner will calibrate the laser to your specific treatment parameters. With each laser pulse, you’ll feel a light snap on your skin similar to an elastic band.

After your treatment

After your laser treatment, you might be a little itchy, red or swollen in the area treated, but these side effects should subside in a few days or so. Depending on the area treated, you might bruise. Everyone has unique skin, so results and amount of treatments do vary.

Post-procedure care

After laser treatment, your skin will temporarily be more sensitive to the sun. Protecting your skin is paramount to achieving your best results. Dr. Yougblood recommends avoiding the sun as much as you can after your appointment and protecting your skin with a broad-spectrum sunscreen.  At Premier MediSPa, we offer leading broad-spectrum sunscreen products.

frequently asked questions

What is Diolaze xl?

DiolazeXL is an advanced laser hair removal procedure that safely and gently eliminates unwanted hair. DiolazeXL has one of the largest treatment spot sizes, making treatments convenient and fast. The combination of efficacy, patient comfort and speed makes DiolazeXL a leader in laser hair removal. It is powerful enough to target and treat even the most stubborn hair.

How many laser hair removal treatments will I need?

The hairs on your body are not always at the same stage, so multiple treatments are required to achieve complete hair removal of a given area. That’s because hair grows in three stages:

  • Anagen (growth stage): Hair is thickest and darkest, so treatments are most effective.
  • Catagen (transitional stage): The hair begins to loosen from its follicle.
  • Telogen (shedding stage): The hair falls out to make room for new growth.

Everyone is a little different but three treatments, 4-6 weeks apart is usually sufficient.

Is laser hair removal painful?

At Premier MediSpa, we’re dedicated to making sure your treatments are equally comfortable and effective. Laser pulses feel like a flick similar to a rubber band. Our patients frequently tell us that our laser treatments are very tolerable.

Is laser hair removal safe for darker skin tones?

Yes! Other laser hair removal systems don’t cater to all skin types, but Premier offers custom treatment that’s right for you regardless of your skin tone. For more information, please contact us to speak about our laser treatments.

Are there any side effects to laser treatment?

After your laser treatment, you might be a little itchy, red or swollen in the area treated, but these side effects should subside in a few days or so. Depending on the area treated, you might bruise. In rare cases blistering could occur.

At Premier MediSpa, our skincare specialists are highly experienced and are committed to ensuring your treatments are as effective and painless as possible.

How long does a hair removal treatment take?

A single treatment can take as little as a few minutes to as long as an hour, depending on the treatment area and the condition being treated. Both legs are regularly treated in as few as 45 minutes, as can an average-sized man’s back.
