Before your treatment
Before you come in for microneedling, we recommend cleansing your skin and removing your makeup prior to your treatment.
During your treatment
When you arrive, we will cleanse and prep your skin for treatment. While reclining, your aesthetician will use our advanced device to create micro-injuries in your skin. This will help encourage new collagen and elastin for improved firmness, texture, and overall more youthful skin. Because of the skill of our team, many of our patients tell us that they notice improvement in their skin’s texture after treatment.
After your treatment
After microneedling, you might be a little itchy, red or swollen in the area treated, but these side effects should subside within a few days. Most of our patients have little to no downtime and resume their daily agenda right after treatment. We might recommend a non-comedogenic moisturizer to hydrate your skin. Because everyone has unique skin, side effects and results may vary.
Post-procedure care
In the days after microneedling treatment, it’s important to moisturize and protect your skin from the sun. We recommend avoiding the sun as much as you can after your appointment and we might recommend a broad-spectrum sunscreen. Also, you should refrain from using makeup for at least 72 hours. Some of our patients ask us about “derma rolling” their skin. Home rolling is much different than microneedling. For starters, microneedling can and should only be performed by professionals. Microneedling effectively creates micro-channels in the skin while home rollers barely scratch the surface.
